Do you believe in fate/destiny?

I truly believe in fate and destiny. I believe that what is meant for me will always reach me, but only when the timing is right. And what is not meant for me will simply pass by.

This belief shows up in everyday life. Sometimes you really want something, but you never get it. At first it feels disappointing, but later you understand why. And sometimes things come to you so naturally and peacefully that you just know they were written for you.

What is not meant for you will either never reach you or it will not sit well in your heart. From small things like your favorite clothes or food, to bigger things like the person you are meant to build your life with, the friends written for you, and the rizq destined for you, everything unfolds by the will of Allah.

Allah says in the Qur’an,

“Indeed, all things We created with predestination.”

Surah Al Qamar 54:49

This reminds me that nothing happens by accident. Every delay has wisdom. Every blessing has purpose. Every loss carries protection. Everything is written with care by the Best of Planners.

And in trusting that, my heart finds peace.
