No Easy Wins

What are your favorite sports to watch and play?

Sports have always been more than just games for me—they’ve been emotional and intense.

When it comes to watching sports, cricket is my favorite. Even though our cricket team isn’t very impressive right now and often feels unbalanced between newbies and aging players, the excitement never really fades. What truly gets my adrenaline going is an India vs Pakistan cricket match—the rivalry, pressure, and emotions make those games unforgettable.

As for playing sports, baseball and basketball defined me.

I excelled at baseball, winning several school matches at a time when the sport wasn’t popular in Pakistan at all. Most people my age didn’t even know about it, but I loved the challenge and the confidence it gave me.

Basketball was passion mixed with chaos. My height gave me an edge, my shots were strong, and my dodging was sharp. I picked up multiple injuries along the way and even got into a few on-court fights—guilty. Still, basketball taught me resilience, toughness, and how to stand my ground.
